Mission

Conducts the settlement/valuation/reporting activities related to the operations and contracts managed by Global Energy Management (GEM) Back Office after its execution by respective departments:

  • Perform the activities related to settlements and follow-up arising from (i) market operations executed by GEM or (ii) from physical/financial contracts executed by GEM or any other EDPR department (e.g. Origination).
  • Perform the reporting activities required by internal and external stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities

  • Perform the settlement and valuation activities required for the market operations executed by GEM (DAM/IDM/Balancing).
  • Perform the settlement and valuation activities required for the physical contracts (e.g. market representation, PPAs) or financial contracts (e.g. Virtual PPAs) executed either by GEM, Origination department or any other related stakeholder (e.g. third parties).
  • Perform the required activities related to the issuance of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) or other Environmental attributes to EDPR projects (e.g. GC, other certificates), monitoring the status and position of those. Coordinate the required activities with internal and external stakeholders to comply with the obligations arisen from the Guarantees of Origin or Environmental Attributes contracts.
  • Perform the settlement and valuation of the remuneration schemes related contracts (e.g. Contract for Differences, Tariff) or from Guarantees Of Origin/Environmental attributes contracts executed by GEM, Origination or any other related stakeholder.
  • Communicate settlement amounts arising from market operations and contracts with Accounting EDPR for invoicing and accounting purposes. Report to internal (Asset Management /Planning & Control/others) and external (market agents, counterparties) stakeholders on the related contracts and operations when required.
  • Support on related energy management activities (e.g. compliance of regulatory requirements , process for issuing financial guarantees and collaterals).
  • Carry out research special reports for the countries where GEM or Origination has operations.
  • Maintain the departmental reporting line (both periodic and especial purpose reports).

Required Profile

  • ACADEMIC LEVEL
  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or similar
  • Undergraduate required; prefer degrees in engineering, business or physic or maths science.
  • REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Until 1 year experience in similar role
  • Professional experience in one or more of the following areas: electricity/energy markets, renewable regulation, transmission grid, finance.
  • Used to work in an international environment and different geographies.
  • SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
    • Domain of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office package.
    • Ability to manage databases and knowledge of other programming tools (Visual Basic, PowerBI or similar) would be valuable.
  • LANGUAGES
    • Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
    • Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.
  • SKILLS / COMPETENCES
    • Responsible, organized, analytical, problem solving
