About the role

By joining our team at DNV as a Senior Engineer (Project Manager) you will be part of the Northern Europe Department (Project Engineering and Due Diligence) - championing the widespread deployment and operation of renewables to address climate change and positively impact society and the planet. This is a broad role that requires the successful applicant to be involved in various activities. Candidates need to have an understanding and working experience with wind turbine systems including the corresponding infrastructure.

Typical duties may include:

  • Managing projects to ensure they are completed within timescale and budget,
  • Preparing and coordinating proposals and bids
  • Technical review and consulting;
  • Preparation of technical reports for customers;
  • Support the preparation of offers and tenders;
  • Conducting site visits;
  • Support in and administration of project documentation;
  • Following up on open issues with the client, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists as necessary;
  • Completing projects on budget, time, and quality;
  • Attending meetings with clients;
  • Assuming business development and sales tasks;
  • Support teamwork throughout the immediate and greater organization, including international projects.

About you

Position Qualifications

  • University degree, equivalent technical education or experience (Electrical and/or Industrial Engineering);
  • First professional experience in due diligence work on wind turbine projects;
  • Understanding of the wind power industry in general and multi-megawatt wind turbine projects specifically;
  • Understanding of the renewable energy sector, including the Polish and European wind markets;
  • Knowledge of energy storage systems or smart grid applications would be a plus;
  • Good Polish and English language skills, both spoken and written;
  • Ability to write and compose clear and accurate reports in English and Polish;
  • Business Development and Sales experience and skills;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and 10% internationally to conferences, client meetings, wind farm sites, and internal meetings;
  • Must be able to climb a wind turbine (also offshore) or a ladder onto a rooftop to inspect an installation;
  • Ability to work in a pressurised consultancy environment - operating to tight timescale;
  • Project Management skills, good organisational and effective time management skills as you may be required to handle multiple projects;
  • Effective email and phone communication skills;
  • Diligent, well-organised and team-oriented performance;
  • Confident manner, independent and structured method;
  • Ability to approach and win colleagues or customers for the achievement of project goals;
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and work solution-oriented;
  • Reliable and detail-oriented in day-to-day project affaires;
  • Critical thinking, and problems solving skills;
