You will be the primary financial expert and problem solver on the offshore wind power projects for the region working closely together with the project managers and the project management team members. Together you will both forecast and cost control the offshore wind power projects in the Asia Pacific region from handover from Sales throughout the execution period until handover to Service. You will assist in the development and analysis of relevant information for project operations to make informed decisions. This can include trend analysis and forecasting, ensuring we are proactive. You would further conduct value adding activities, investigate discrepancies in actuals and assist in assisting to drive and deliver efficiencies.

Your tasks will include:

  • General ledger postings, general accruals and prepayments relating to the projects;
  • Maintenance and tracking of the projects, both cost and revenue inclusive of contract variation orders;

  • Preparation of "cost out" reports for approval by the project team when major suppliers and contractors complete their scope of work. (Cost out = ensure that supplier invoices and credit notes reconcile to contract and POs);
  • Processing of related reconciliation and documentation concerning project financials/-balances;
  • Monitoring of CRs incl. of support to CR case handlers and reporting of CR status;
  • Monitoring and updating of project hedging (currency exposure) when appropriate, liaising with Vestas Treasury;
  • Preparation of financial input for Executive project summary.

We expect that you have some years of experience within large-scale construction projects combined with a solid experience within financial analysis. Experience within the renewable energy/wind energy sector would be beneficial but not a requirement. With your solid communication and analytic skills, you will be working closely together with the project management team in providing the financial overview of the ongoing offshore projects. We expect that you are an experienced user of SAP and have solid experience working with MS Office applications. You are a team-oriented person who is also able to work individually with minimal supervision.
