We are seeking an innovative and analytical intern to join our team for a project focused on AI-based condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of wind turbine assets. This project aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of wind turbines through the development and deployment of advanced AI models. The intern will work on building deep neural networks and generative models, such as Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), to analyze real-time data from IoT sensors, including acoustic signals, for the early detection of anomalies. This role is crucial for implementing corrective actions that prevent failures and optimize wind turbine performance.

Responsibilities

  • Model Development: Design, build, and train AI models using deep learning and generative techniques to process and analyze data from IoT sensors for anomaly detection.
  • Data Analysis: Work with large datasets to identify patterns and insights related to wind turbine condition monitoring.
  • Cloud Deployment: Deploy the developed solution on the Azure cloud environment, ensuring scalability
  • Integration: Integrate the solution with the existing Predictive Asset Management system for seamless operation.
  • Dashboarding and Notification: Develop user-friendly dashboards and notification systems for end-users to monitor the health of wind turbine assets in real-time.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within existing renewables projects to enhance learning and contribute to project success.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in AI, machine learning, and renewable energy to drive innovation within the project.

Requirements

  • Desired skills: Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with Grafana platform preferred.
  • Good understanding of Data science, Machine learning and deep learning techniques required.
  • Some experience with Azure cloud preferred.
  • Experience with Python and libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
