Job description

Currently, EDF Renewables is seeking for its International Division a

STORAGE PROJECT MANAGER (M/F)

You will undertake some of the responsibilities, tasks and duties listed below:

  • Lead and manage storage or hybrid projects with merchant and contracted revenue streams, potentially in collaboration with local entities of EDFR, while ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders including financial, dispatch modelling, technical, insurance, legal or tax teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Structure project routes to market including merchant revenue stacking and/or contracted component, in accordance with EDFR hedging risk policy.
  • Identify risks and define associated management strategies including deep analysis on market design and regulation.
  • If relevant, look for local partners/investors and structure partnership agreements.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring effective communication and alignment among team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may impact project delivery.
  • Manage project documentation, including project charters, schedules, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support bid submission and/or prepare decision-making processes: investment committees, financial close, start of construction.
  • Analyze the international storage / hybrid market to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges

Skills & Qualities required

  • 5-10 years of project management and/or business finance in renewable energy
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Finance
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the storage / energy sector
  • In-depth knowledge of electricity markets, including market structures, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of the international storage market, including key players, trends, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade and influence potential stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business opportunities and associated risks.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Open-minded attitude, with the initiative to identify and contribute to tasks beyond immediate scope of responsibilities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, combined with a structured mindset, attention to detail and project management skills
  • A positive "can-do" attitude with a flexible approach to work
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • Good business acumen
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
  • Fluent in English and French

Job location: Nanterre (92). Located at a 5-minute walk from the Nanterre-Préfecture RER A station, our office based in Origine building benefits from a strategic geographical position in the extension of the La Défense business district.
