You will play an important role in supporting the “Data Driven Resource Management” (DRM) business unit function by looking at and supporting supply and demand forecasts to ensure that we are following sales and operations planning processes appropriately. You need to create effective reports in formats that are meaningful and targeted to affected sales or operations departments (e.g., global sales, factories).

The DRM Process comprises: Handling Data-Lake, Product Mgt. Review, Demand (Gap) Review, Supply (Gap) Review, Load Balancing, Cross-functional Decision Meeting

As “DRM Demand & Operations Data Analyst”, you assist the DRM Process-Manager with the creation of analyses and reporting. It compiles the necessary data and identifies opportunities and risks.

What part will you play?

  • You will connect relevant data from multiple source systems to the DRM cloud and create the needed data models
  • You will analyze, validate, and interpret the data to each other
  • Furthermore you are responsible for the ongoing analysis of global customer demand for the various product portfolios by efficiently preparing the data, relating it to each other, and drawing logical conclusions from it
  • You are responsible for the ongoing analysis of the production capacities and utilization of the plants according to the production lines, by efficiently preparing the data, relating it to each other, and drawing logical conclusions from it
  • You will create high-quality medium- and long-term planning proposals based on data analysis, forecasts, and historical trends; this also with the help of AI
  • You will develop, build, and automate reports according to the DRM process for (day-to-day) use, strategic analysis, and reviews also you will provide meaningful reports/analyses for the DRM processes that regularly help business owners identify opportunities, drive action, and determine resource needs
  • Therefore you will create scenario or business case information for the DRM processes Demand (Gap) Review and Supply (Gap) Review that makes customer demand viable
  • You will prepare, document, and follow up on respective DRM meetings
  • You will create improvements and suggestions based on the created scenario for the appropriate DRM meetings
  • You will demonstrate process improvements around DRM, demand planning, and supply planning to achieve greater forecasting accuracy, product/material planning, and thus better customer satisfaction
  • You will challenge the status quo and identify business risks
  • In Addition you will support or drive continuous improvements related to the DRM process as well as support the DRM process manager and act as its backup
  • Lastly, you will support in the development and implementation of the DRM function and processes

What you need to make real what matters

  • As a DRM Demand & Operations Data Analyst, you should have a master's degree from college or university in Business Informatics, or an Engineering degree, along with proven experience in planning or operations in the manufacturing environment
  • You bring long term experience with sales planning and factory planning (production, material). Familiarity with the switchgear industry is advantageous
  • You possess a broad understanding of E2E supply chain processes, including global sales activities of a corporation, several globally distributed plants across various stages of the value chain, as well as material management at suppliers
  • Your experience includes working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably SAP
  • You have good knowledge, use, and programming skills in MS Power BI, and excellent Excel skills are required
  • Your strengths lie in strong problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills
  • You excel in analytical and communication skills, with the ability to understand complex (technical) issues and communicate them effectively
  • Fluency in English and German is essential for this position
  • Your strong project management skills set you apart
  • You have a strong systems mindset and the ability to communicate across different levels of management
  • Your ability to solve practical problems and manage variables in situations with limited standardization is commendable
  • Prioritizing work and meeting deadlines with a high level of organizational skills is one of your key strengths
