QC Engineer (Offshore Wind)

For our business unit Offshore Wind, situated in Hoboken (Antwerp), we are looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineer (Offshore Wind).

Your assignment? Assuring quality within the Offshore division in Hoboken and assuring quality processes are strictly followed.

• act as single point of contact towards the client for quality related issues
• attend/lead the project QC meetings with client QC representatives
• create and check the quality related project documents
• check and follow up of all quality related documentation of suppliers
• assist system engineers with the selection of QC inspectors and the organization of the QC inspections at vendors’ facilities
• attend and witness Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment at supplier facilities throughout Europe
• check and follow up of quality of construction works and testing of the LV AUX scope of the projects on the yard, by performing spot checks based on Equans’ good craftsmanship rules and project specific quality requirements (norms, contract,…)
• per project facilitate the Punch Process and manage the Punch management tool
• manage the relation with QC inspectors and QC Manager from client and vendors
• support the quality team with personal expertise and experience
• assist with and follow up of the commissioning activities
• detection and reporting of the non-conformities per project
• all project related QC administrative tasks
• attend visitors on the yard for quality related issues

What do you need?

• you have a bachelor/master's degree in engineering or equivalent level through experience
• you have knowledge of quality systems
• you have knowledge of safety related processes, procedures and systems
• you have excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Office and Outlook
• you communicate easily and efficiently with your colleagues, clients and third parties
• you have a hands-on mentality and are very business minded
• you are fluent in reading, writing and speaking English and Dutch or French
