Careers at Vestas

The Nacelle Project Management Department consists of 15+ highly skilled and qualified Project Managers and Planners at three different sites (India, Portugal and Denmark). The department is responsible for the portfolio management and execution of projects in the Nacelle Module where we have +200 employees. We are responsible for the full lifecycle of the product and therefore projects can be both Technology Projects, New Product Development and Projects to support the Operational part of the Business.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a group of project planners supporting the major projects managed by Module Project Managers. You can also be responsible for smaller projects or processes running internally in the module.
  • Build a project planning structure and ensure alignment between planning levels
  • Conduct detailed project planning and scheduling from business activity (level A) to Work Package and task (level C), looking 3-6 months ahead
  • Follow up on the team to secure delivery as promised and maintain and update project plans
  • Support project manager in understanding and communicating the project plan elements and progress including critical path analysis
  • Support project team in time estimation based on historical data for "standard" tasks and deliverables
  • Update budgets and resource demands towards the line organizations in SAP to secure alignment between the project and line organization

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Master level education within relevant academic field (e.g. Engineering or Business)
  • Proficient in Project Planning tools - SAP PPM, Microsoft Project, JIRA
  • Project management education or relevant project management training courses
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in project planning in complex global matrix organizations
  • Experience with supporting several projects simultaneously
  • Great language skills (verbal and written) in English are required

  • You have good interpersonal skills
  • You are structured, detail oriented and administrative specific
  • You are experienced in networking and communicating with many stakeholders
  • You have advanced communication skills verbally and in writing
  • You are motivated in working with advanced project management tools (e.g. SAP PPM, MS Project, JIRA), KPI's and project performance metrics
