About the Team

As a Senior Product Manager based in our Amsterdam office, you will be part of the Product Team that is responsible for EVBox its residential and commercial AC charging stations. You report to the Director AC Product Management and are an essential player in our Technology Department.

You collaborate with the product managers in your team and interact daily with relevant positions in Technology, Sales, Operations, Finance and Legal.

About the role

You will manage the entire lifecycle of hardware products from conception to end-of-life, including defining product requirements, conducting market research, and prioritizing features. Your main responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

Market Analysis

  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the EV charging industry. Works with a long-term perspective to create new concepts/solutions.

Product Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive hardware product strategy aligned with EVBox's business objectives and market needs.

Customer Engagement

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for product improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to translate customer needs and market trends into innovative hardware solutions. Be able to steer decision making without directly managing teams.

Creativity

  • Be innovative and agile in response to change. Prepared to take the unorthodox approach and anticipates to opportunities, constraints and (external) developments. Encourages others to come with new perspectives and ideas.

Success in your role and effective execution translate into solid product- / product line and lifecycle management as well as fit for purpose products, supporting our commercial offering and increased financial performance.

About you

Education requirements

  • MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
  • Additional certifications in product management are a plus.

Experience requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware product management, preferably in the automotive, electronics, or renewable energy industries.
  • Excellent understanding of the European business culture

Skills required

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Customer oriented and ability to adapt/respond to different situations
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, market research, and financial modeling.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a capability to solve complex challenges.
  • High sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Effective presentation, written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings
  • Proven track record of prioritizing effectively and capacity to handle shifting priorities
  • Fluent in English, other European languages are a plus
  • Valid European driving license
