Job Description
The Project Management Systems Manager leads the strategy, roadmap, and enterprise delivery of Ulteig's project management platform (UCore) and PM Center of Excellence (PM CoE) enablement capabilities. This role ensures UCore evolves as a scalable enterprise platform that enables predictable delivery, visibility, governance, and business outcomes, not just a system of record. This role partners closely with the Senior PM Systems Analyst, Business Systems, IT, Operating Business, Finance Operations, Sales Operations, and business leaders to guide platform strategy, prioritize enhancements, de-risk cross-system dependencies, and ensure UCore capabilities align with Ulteig's delivery model and operating priorities.
What You'll Do
- Own the UCore platform roadmap and delivery sequencing aligned to business strategy, delivery maturity goals, and operating model needs.
- Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning UCore, CRM, finance, and reporting platforms, ensuring technical alignment and delivery readiness.
- Partner with Business Systems and IT to guide architecture-informed platform decisions, integrations, and technical tradeoffs.
- Establish platform governance, prioritization forums, and intake models for enhancements and enterprise delivery needs.
- Serve as the owner for UCore delivery status, risks, dependencies, and value realization.
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery, data, integration, and adoption risks across the UCore ecosystem.
- Define success metrics for UCore (adoption, delivery predictability, data quality, delivery outcomes) and hold the roadmap accountable to outcomes.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders on delivery maturity, platform capability gaps, and investment sequencing.
- Lead UCore readiness for major organizational changes, phased rollouts, or delivery model shifts.
- Partner with the Senior PM Systems Analyst to align system configuration, backlog prioritization, reporting, and training to enterprise delivery priorities.
- Co-design platform governance, standards, and operating rhythms with PM CoE leadership.
- Ensure change management, training, and adoption plans are sequenced with platform delivery and business readiness.
- Establish cross-functional operating rhythms and decision forums across PM CoE, Business Systems, and IT.
What We Expect from You
- Strong technical fluency in enterprise project management platforms and integrated system ecosystems (e.g., Planview AdaptiveWork, ERP, CRM, reporting platforms), with the ability to guide platform strategy and technical tradeoffs (not just configuration).
- Proven experience leading platform roadmaps and complex, cross-system delivery initiatives in highly integrated enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and how platform capabilities enable governance, visibility, and delivery maturity at scale.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to design delivery models, governance frameworks, and platform operating models.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and processes, emphasizing best practices.
- Ability to translate business strategy into platform roadmaps, delivery sequencing, and technical requirements.
- Advanced risk identification and mitigation across delivery, data, integration, and adoption impacts.
- Exceptional stakeholder leadership across business, IT, Business Systems, Finance, and executive leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to define meaningful platform success metrics and drive data-informed delivery decisions.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive clarity, prioritization, and outcomes across competing enterprise priorities.
- Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to present tradeoffs, sequencing, and recommendations clearly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- 8-10+ years of experience leading enterprise programs, platforms, or large-scale delivery initiatives.
- Proven experience owning platform roadmaps and delivering outcomes across complex, multi-system environments.
- Strong experience partnering with IT and Business Systems on platform strategy, integrations, and technical design.
- Experience leading PM platform modernization, delivery model transformation, or enterprise system rollouts preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or owning enterprise PM platforms (e.g., Planview AdaptiveWork, Clarizen, Smartsheet, Jira Align, MS Project Online).
- Experience leading large-scale platform implementations, phased rollouts, or enterprise delivery transformations.
- Familiarity with data architecture, integrations, APIs, and enterprise reporting ecosystems (not hands-on coding, but strong fluency).
- Experience partnering with Change Management, PM CoE, or Transformation teams on adoption and operating model shifts.
- Project management and/or platform certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, SAFe, Planview) preferred.
- Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
