Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Energy Engineer I! Support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations and utility program technical design and assistance. Leads design and development of technical strategies, conducts analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develops plans and provides reporting that contributes to the success of client programs. Writes and informs technical documents, publications, and conducts quality review of content. Provides general project oversight, quality control/assurance, and continuously informs customers and project team of updates and necessary adjustments.

  • Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, electrical, thermodynamics, mathematics, and statistics.
  • Prioritize safety in all actions and tasks.
  • Participate in energy audits to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Support development of measures characteristics for program planning and BD efforts, with technical oversight
  • Understand building energy end uses and energy impacts of industrial processes.
  • Support analysis of energy efficiency projects using various tools and software.
  • Become familiar with the energy efficiency industry, industry trends, regulations and best practices related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Propose solutions of issues to supervisor.
  • Anticipate issues, develop solutions, lead resolutions to internal stakeholders.

For this exciting career opportunity, you must have...

  • BS in Engineering or higher
  • 0-3+ years of experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
  • Interest and ambition to work in the fast-paced energy efficiency industry.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities.

Target Compensation

$72,000.00/annual

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

$59,500.00 - $89,200.00

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
