Torus is headquartered in Utah and is expanding manufacturing at our 545,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City called GigaOne. We are the world's first mesh energy infrastructure, uniting communities through resilient, sustainable, and intelligent power. We design, engineer, manufacture, install, and support our systems end-to-end, standing behind them throughout their lifecycle. Torus systems help reduce costs, lower emissions, and protect facilities from outages, while strengthening the security and reliability of the broader utility grid. Torus is committed to American manufacturing, engineering excellence, and building energy systems that last.

Torus has raised over $267 million from investors like Magnetar, Mercado, ICONIQ and Origin Ventures. The investments are helping to accelerate deployment of modular power plants across utilities, data centers, and industrial sectors. This investor confidence reflects the strength of our team, technology as well as the scale of the problem we are solving.

At Torus, you will be part of something larger than a single product or technology. Your work will help build energy infrastructure that supports and strengthens our electrical grid, critical systems, industry, and communities for decades to come. We value accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.

About the Role

As a Senior Sourcing Manager on the Supply Chain team, you will serve as a pivotal strategic leader driving vendor acquisition, negotiation, and overall supply chain strategy for our next-generation product line. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution, taking ownership of multi-million-dollar supplier relationships and ensuring high-efficiency global sourcing pipelines. You will directly impact Torus's scale and mission by securing reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective supplier networks that directly support our state-of-the-art GigaOne facility and broader energy infrastructure initiatives.

Who You Are

You are a proactive, analytical, and seasoned supply chain strategist who embodies accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. You excel in high-stakes negotiations and build enduring, executive-level partnerships grounded in mutual value and trust. Driven by continuous improvement and operational excellence, you take pride in navigating complex technical challenges, resolving supplier friction, and transforming strategy into measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global supplier relationships and international sourcing strategies, with a emphasis on Asia-Pacific and other key international markets.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align sourcing initiatives with technical and product development roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous optimization across the supply chain, targeting measurable cost savings, lead-time reductions, supplier performance enhancements, and robust risk mitigation.
  • Analyze technical documentation, including engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing workflows, to inform supplier selection and cost modeling.
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems to monitor supply performance, forecast material demand, and maintain system integrity across product lifecycles.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating complex supplier contracts valued at $10M+ annually.
  • Executive-level experience managing complex supplier relationships, conflict resolution, and long-term partnership building.
  • Technical fluency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing processes, and working within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proven experience managing global suppliers and establishing international sourcing strategies, particularly with partners in Asia.
  • Track record of driving measurable operational results, including sustained cost savings, lead-time improvements, enhanced vendor performance metrics, and risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated success bridging technical teams (Engineering, IT) and business functions (Operations, Executive Leadership).

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in the clean energy, energy storage, hardware manufacturing, or automotive sectors.
  • Deep experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) supply chain strategy from early prototype stages to full-volume production.
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM).
