SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER RENEWABLE ENERGY & THERMAL POWER 100% (w/m/d) - ZURICH

YOUR TASKS

• Develop commercially and then lead project execution in renewable energies (biomass, PV, wind onshore, energy storage), desalination, gas, liquid fuel and hydrogen.
• Identify business development on the broader market and sales opportunities in your projects, leading proposal efforts, including project scoping and managing client interactions beyond the mere submission of a written offer.
• Lead complex technical assignments: due diligence, technical advisor, performance monitoring reports for different stakeholders such as Lenders, Sponsors or Owners.
• Be a point of reference for chemistry related matters, particularly focused on hydrogen chemistry including H2 generation, water treatment and implementation of chemical plants, applied to H2 generation or Power to X plants.
• Conduct technical studies, such as e.g., heat and mass balance using advanced thermal modelling tools (Thermoflex or Ebsilon), Solar Energy systems using PVsyst etc.
• Participate, as an active member with previous experience on design review and supervise design review processes.
• Manage the entire project life cycle, from sales up to closure capturing and disseminating lessons learned.

YOUR PROFILE

• You hold a Mechanical or Electrical engineer master’s degree and have at least 10-15 years of professional experience of which at least five of them were with an EPC Contractor, Developer or Consulting Company in a technical role either on sales and/or project execution.
• You thrive on problems and situations for which there is no prior experience and can create valuable solutions effectively and efficiently. You are good at structuring unclear situations and client problems into actionable tasks and projects.
• You make decisions, act proactively and on your initiative. No mentoring or coaching is required on your daily tasks.
• You are a good communicator and can reduce complex issues to understandable arguments and presentations for top management from different cultural backgrounds and employees. We pay utmost attention to structured and articulate writing and presentation skills; therefore, you are fluent orally and in writing business English. Additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic are a plus.
• You like a work environment where constructive conflict is sought openly and professionally to create better client solutions in a non-hierarchical way.
• You are used to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, and have no objections to travel, as it forms an essential part of your duties.
• As part of your cultural and professional journey, you have worked with Clients based in the Middle East and you have experienced different cultural approaches.
