Junior Legal Counsel

Reporting to the Regional Legal Manager Americas and based in Ciudad de Mexico we are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel.

What will you do?

• Review and negotiate contracts related to the promotion and development of renewable energy projects: land agreements, construction contracts (EPC and O&M), equipment supply contracts, power purchase agreements (PPA)
• Review and negotiate contracts related to the financing of the projects
• Manage the corporate activities of the Mexican companies (keeping and updating books and records, supervising the incorporation of companies, preparing and implementing power of attorneys)
• Drafting all kinds of legal communications related to development of the projects.
• Negotiation of other contracts such as LOIs, NDAs, Partnership Agreements, etc.

What do we need?

• Degree in Law.
• At least 2/3 years of previous experience in law firm (Real Estate, Energy-Regulatory or Finance departments) or energy-related company.
• Full command of English.
• Availability to travel occasionally.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• A proactive person, with capacity for teamwork, dynamism and ability to manage different tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
