Context:
We're looking for a Market Analyst to support the ambitious growth of our Environmental Market Access Desk, and specifically develop analytics and research to help in decision making and to contribute to economic research content shared with our clients
Role:
- Developing market analysis, reports and data visualizations on environmental products: Guarantees of Origins, Carbon Offsets and I-RECs
- Maintaining and improving the existing dashboards on environmental products in the EnergyScan platform (more information here: https://energyscan.engie.com)
- Developing a detailed supply/demand model for European GOs
Hard skills
- Must have: strong analytical skills
- Good to have: programming skills (Python), ability to use multiple IT tools.
Soft skills
- Must have: reactivity, creativity, autonomy, team spirit, clear and effective communication both written and verbal, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, ability to cope with deadlines
- Good to have: interest in energy, economics, financial markets
Education and professional background
- Master degree or PhD in relevant area (energy, economics, engineering, etc..)
- A previous experience in the energy/commodity sector and/or a trading environment is a plus
Languages
- Fluent in English
Travels
Regular travels to Paris
