Job Description
At PosiGen, we are passionate about providing money saving solar and energy efficiency solutions for people of all income levels. We are seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven Regional Channel Sales Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you will work to increase sales and partnerships within your assigned region. Our ideal candidate has a strong history of successful sales management, possesses innate leadership qualities, excels in maintaining client and industry relationships, and has a real passion for sharing the values of PosiGen.
While this position can be remote, we strongly prefer candidates located in one of our areas of operation in the Northeast: CT, MA, NJ, PA, and RI. Travel is required for this position.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify and pursue sales leads, prospective new clients and move them through the sales pipeline from qualification to diligence and final approval stages
- Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person and remote sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information
- Maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts; implement strategies to grow wallet share and deliver an excellent Partner experience
- Travel within your territory to meet clients one-on-one
- Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
- Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
- Generate and submit sales reports to leadership
- Monitor competitor activities and updates; make recommendations for program improvements
- Collaborate across departments for partner success and compliance with the PosiGen program
- Forecast sales within assigned territory and report trends to leadership
- Leverage data, reporting, and insights to improve partner experience, pipeline performance, and other KPIs for success
- Other duties as assigned by leader
Education/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the Residential Solar Industry
- Channel Solar sales experience required
- At least 4 years of experience in a business to business sales-related role with previous experience cold-calling and qualifying leads
- Experience supporting or selling solar financing options strongly preferred
- A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field preferred
- Successful completion of coursework in sales techniques, marketing, and communication a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to financial inclusion, social justice, and/or access to clean energy
- Travel within CT, MA, and RI is required
