Where you’ll work

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person.

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

This role in a nutshell

As a Midweight Integrated Designer, we’ll need you to create visual concepts across projects, and champion exceptional design, motion and craft. We’re looking for someone who is excited by motion design, and has a love for all things that move. You’ll have excellent collaboration and communication skills, attention to detail and artistic flair. A strategic mindset, ready to tackle any challenge with a can-do attitude with the ability to apply creative thinking to briefs.

You’ll work across all creative elements, from concept to delivery, to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing outcome. We are looking for someone who can both design and animate, and has hands-on experience with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.

You’ll be a successful Midweight Integrated Designer at OVO if you have…

• Up-to-date knowledge and experience working at a creative agency or in-house creative team
• An outstanding portfolio of published work spanning different channels, from print to digital, including advertising, branding, motion, landing pages, and reports
• Excellent hands-on experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experienced in motion graphics, 2D and After Effects, any additional 3D knowledge is a bonus
• Email and performance marketing channel expertise
• The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design work
• The ability to translate complex ideas into simple, clear, and compelling designs
• The ability to think creatively, present ideas, and articulate the thinking behind them
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good spelling and grammar
• Quick and calm thinking skills
• Confidence in multitasking, managing your workload, and delivering projects on time and on brief
• Independent problem-solving skills
• An open-mind and are receptive to feedback
• Ambition and a drive for high standards
• A passion for learning and teaching others
• A positive attitude, excellent collaboration, communication and listening skills, and the initiative to compromise when necessary

You won’t like this role if you…

• Have no interest in contributing to the Creative Team culture
• Don’t have excellent attention to detail
• Prefer to work in isolation
• Have the inability to think conceptually when needed
• Struggle to work across multiple briefs at once.

We’ll pay you between £35,000 and £42,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
