Your Mission

Charging EVs, controlling heat pumps, reading smart meters, optimizing real-time consumption: behind everything RABOT makes visible to customers sits a platform that connects hardware, data and software. This platform grows with every new device, every new partner and every new feature.

You work on this platform as part of our engineering team. Backend, APIs, integrations, internal tools. Which area exactly depends on your strengths and interests. What's certain: your code doesn't run in an exercise, it runs in systems used by thousands of customers.

Your Results

Month 1 (Ramp-up)

• You understand our platform architecture and development processes well enough to independently ship your first features, bugfixes or API improvements to the live system.

Month 3 (Performance)

• You regularly deliver code that runs in our live systems and creates real impact.
• Your engineering colleagues trust your work and your ownership over the tasks you take on.

Who We Are Looking For

• Curious mind: You're studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar and want to experience how backend systems power real energy products. Not just theory, but building, shipping, going live.
• Self-starter: You don't wait for the perfect ticket. When you see a problem, you suggest a fix. You use AI tools and modern workflows to work faster and better.
• Team thinker: You don't just write code that works, you write code that others can understand and build on. Documentation and clean handoffs are second nature to you.
• Communicator: You work confidently in English, ideally with some German skills and actively participate in code reviews and discussions.

Technical requirements

Solid programming skills (C# preferred, alternatively Python or Java), basic understanding of APIs, databases and system architecture, comfortable working with Git.

Bonus

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, hardware integrations (IoT, smart meters, EV charging), or interest in energy systems and platform engineering.
