Senior Lead - Product Test & Validation (m/w/d)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Lead - Product Test & Validation to join our engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will plan, execute, and analyze comprehensive product tests to ensure quality, reliability, safety, and compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL).

This position bridges mechanical and electrical design validation, with a primary focus on mechanical testing. You will play a key role in verifying that prototypes meet technical specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, validation procedures, and setups for mechanical and electrical products.
• Lead mechanical validation tests (vibration, environmental, lifting, CoG, etc.) and analyze results.
• Oversee in-house and external type testing, including fault analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design teams to identify and resolve potential issues early in development.
• Document and report test data, findings, and design improvement recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and certifications (IEC, UL, etc.).
• Continuously improve testing methods and best practices.
• Mentor and support team members in technical and safety excellence.

Our requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Test & Validation Engineer, Mechanical Test Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical testing methods (environmental, vibration, structural, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials science, and industrial testing.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, and panel assembly.
• Hands-on experience with engineering and testing procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and use of problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork, planning, and adaptability skills.
• Willingness to travel to other locations if necessary.
