About the team

You work closely with a team of seven committed Operations colleagues, led by Christaan. It's a team that takes shared ownership seriously, people back each other up and get genuine satisfaction from seeing the results of their work. You'll also collaborate daily with Development, Data Engineers and Customer Engagement.

About the job

As Platform Operations Engineer at Deftpower you work at the intersection of technology and real-world impact. When something needs attention, you're the one who spots it first. When a client's charging operations run without a hitch, that's partly because of the systems you monitor, the incidents you resolved, and the improvements you put in place.

What makes this role genuinely different is the combination of depth and breadth. You build real expertise in a complex technical domain, roaming, transactions or maybe energy flexibility, while feeling the direct result of your work in happy clients and a platform that keeps scaling. And there's no shortage of meaningful work: our processes are maturing fast, which means you'll have real room to make things smarter, not just keep them running.

• Monitor platform health and performance, catching issues before clients notice them
• Take ownership of incident response and coordinate root cause analysis with development leads
• Automate repetitive tasks and redesign workflows to make operations more efficient and scalable
• Align with development teams on new feature releases and sprint planning

• Salary range: Between ???4500 and ???5700 a month
• ???2.000 training budget per year to keep learning and growing.
• Choose your own laptop to work with, up to ???1.750.

About you

You're precise without being rigid, calm under pressure, and you get real energy from seeing your improvements actually land.

At Deftpower, people grow in different directions. Some of our Operations Engineers have moved into Business Analysis, Onboarding Management or Development. The domain knowledge you build here opens doors, and we actively support you in finding where you want to go.

• 3+ years of experience in a technical operations role
• Experience with monitoring and incident management
• Strong analytical mindset: you trace root causes, not just symptoms
• Affinity with automation and process optimization

Depentent on the role we do a quick introduction by phone to see if there's a match on the basics. After that you'll meet the Hiring Manager or Team Lead. We'll tell you more about Deftpower, and we'd love to get to know you as a person. For some roles you'll work on a short case. Next, you will talk to a teammate so that you can get a good feel for the role and the Deftpower. For IT roles, this is when you receive the offer. For sales and operations roles there's often a third interview to give you an even broader picture of Deftpower.
