Engenheiro de Design Elétrico (m/f/d)

To support our team in Italy in the development of innovative solutions for high-voltage underground cable systems, as well as in product development, technical optimization, testing activities, and global customer projects, we are looking for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Your role

• Develop and optimize existing products to meet global market requirements.
• Design and develop specialized link boxes and related components for high-voltage underground cable systems.
• Adapt and customize products according to customer-specific and country-specific requirements.
• Maintain and expand technical expertise in electrical and electromechanical components.
• Coordinate testing activities, including electrical and water immersion tests, working closely with one laboratory resource.
• Support root cause analysis, failure investigation, and corrective actions related to product performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Production, and Project Management to ensure successful product delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, and cost optimization.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in electrical design engineering; experience gained through internships or academic projects will also be considered for junior candidates.
• Knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) and/or high-voltage (HV) underground cable systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within an international team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
