Project Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HDF Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer to oversee our initiatives in the Asia region. This role will report directly to the Project Manager for Asia Pacific, playing a crucial part in ensuring the successful execution of projects. This position is expected to start in Q2 2025 and must be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Project Development

• Provide technical assistance the Business Development team covering topic such as energy assessment, land assessment, grid assessment, etc.
• Involve in overseeing external studies, including the preparation of Terms of Reference (ToR), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotations (RFQ), as well as the bidding/procurement process and coordinating until studies are completed
• Involve in permitting processes by identifying required permits, preparing documentation, and coordinating during the permitting process
• Conduct desk research on various topics relevant to HDF’s business in Asia

Project Execution

• Support the project team in HQ and Asia with identifying and assessing the potential suppliers in Asian market
• Support the project team in HQ and Asia with the procurement/tender process for EPCC contractors in the Asia
• Assist the project team in HQ and Asia during the construction phase of projects in the Asia

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferrable in Electrical/Power Systems/Energy Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Management or Project Engineering, preferably in the Independent Power Producer (IPP) and/or Power/Energy sector
• Experience in project development, construction, and operations is preferred
• Experience using PVSyst is mandatory and other software simulation in energy is an advantage
• Preferably having basic knowledge in Power system and/or Electrical Grid System
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
