About the Role
This is a unique 12-month fixed-term role to cover maternity leave. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for two key areas – stakeholder relations and communications. The communications function will focus on developing strategies and plans, creating content for websites and social media, press releases and speaking notes. The stakeholder relations function will focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, especially mana whenua groups, and driving sustainability and social impact activities.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in communications, business or a related field
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, including iwi, hapū and marae; ideally strong knowledge and understanding of te reo Māori and tikanga Māori
- Experience in developing and implementing communications strategies and plans and self-confidence in public speaking environments
- Familiar with sustainability frameworks
