Job Description

In this role you will support the commercial and operational activities of the Vena Energy Australia team through the development and delivery of analytics and data analysis. This role suits an early career professional seeking to develop their analytical, data analysis and communication skills, develop a knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and gain exposure to the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of analytical tasks and data analysis including NEM spot market outcomes, operational and financial performance of Vena Energy???s generation and storage assets in Australia.
• Collect, maintain and analyse data sets related to various renewable energy sources (wind, solar, BESS), ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Assist with development and delivery of market insights, including the review industry reports and regulatory changes, and researching industry developments.
• Contribute to the development of analytics and data analysis tools, this will include the design and implementation of data management processes and automation of tasks.
• Provide analytical support to internal market, operational, finance and investment teams where required

Education

• Bachelor???s degree in Mathematics / Economics / Finance / Engineering / Science

Experience

• Experience working in the Australian electricity industry
• Experience conducting data analysis

Skills

Technical/Professional Skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of common coding languages (Python, SQL, R).
• An aptitude for performing analytical tasks, with strong problem-solving skills.
