As our new Senior Solutions Engineer, SCADA & Protection, you will join the highly specialised and motivated PLM team in the Renewables division. With our vast in-house knowledge and experience, we help our clients both in the tender stage as well as in the execution stage by making it possible to configure the most effective solutions for bringing energy to the shore. This is where you will be our new Senior Solutions Engineer, SCADA & Protection and future specialist for PLM.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, SCADA & Protection, you will be responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of our configurable SCADA & Protection solutions and offerings for our offshore substation Product Line.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Technical Authority for Semco Maritime's SCADA & Protection solutions offering to the market.
• SCADA and Protection solutions development, optimisation, standardisation, and maintenance in line with future market requirements and technology developments
• Proposal development and execution based on our solutions architecture and the client's requirements
• Coordinate and secure strategic supply chain agreements with Procurement, including annual cost-out activities.
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap with input on new technologies from the supply chain, organization, and the market.
• Handover of the as-sold solutions to the project execution team

The successful candidate will be expected to form strong working relationships with the other existing teams e.g., in sales, tender, project management, construction, and most importantly, the engineering organisation.

Your profile & qualifications

As a person, you are outgoing, trustworthy, and able to exert influence when needed. With your great attention to detail and curious nature, you take a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and are eager to develop your existing knowledge and skills. You are an experienced SCADA & Protection Engineer with a solution development mindset, preferably coming from a manufacturing, developer, or operational organisation. You can work collaboratively with others in an international environment. You think logically, are willing to self-learn and can work in small teams. Moreover, a good sense of humour and a collaborative nature is always appreciated at Semco Maritime.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• Experience with the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of communications systems, control and monitoring, SCADA, and instrumentations
• Experience with concepts in power, control, automation, and cabling
• Experience in Auxiliary Control and Monitoring systems as well as HVAC control systems
• Experience with interface management across systems
• A relevant technical education such as a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar with experience, preferably in SCADA & Protection
• A good understanding of OT security and network designs
• Experience from the utility sector or offshore wind industries is an advantage, but not an ultimate requirement.
• A curious, outgoing, and positive mindset.
• "Design for X" development experience (e.g. for Manufacturability, for Operation, for Service, for Reliability Availability, for Test, for Integrations)
• Great communication skills and fluency in English, verbal and written.

Your place of work could either be at our Head office in Esbjerg or at one of our offices in Copenhagen or Gdynia. For the right candidate, it could also be possible to work remotely if you are not located near one of our offices. The position is full-time and will involve limited travel to other Semco Maritime offices, sub-suppliers and customers.
