If you are as passionate about sustainability and the green transition as we are, then this is a great opportunity for you to join an international company in growth as our new Low Voltage Site Engineer for our Renewables Division!
Your position
As our new Low Voltage Site Engineer in the Renewables Division, you will be a crucial part of our Site Operations Team, comprised of highly skilled and experienced power engineers. With one of the largest project portfolios in offshore substations worldwide, we are proud to be market leaders in our industry.
At Semco Maritime safety is a core value, and in this role, you will contribute to maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.
In this role, you will supervise teams of 5-15 members in the installation, testing, and commissioning of low voltage systems while also getting hands-on with the construction of low voltage components. You will act as the vital link between our HQ LV engineering team and onshore construction sites and have the exciting opportunity to develop your project management skills in an international environment.
The position is full time, and your main base will be Aalborg, Copenhagen or our HQ in Esbjerg.
You can expect a 5 days' work week at site fitted into a rotation - and you will be compensated with a fixed supplement for expected overtime. This position requires a lot of traveling to different construction sites and offshore installations, so you should expect around 200-250 travel days for work annually. We are currently having operations in Poland, Vietnam, US and Taiwan.
"As a member of our team, you'll be working alongside a close-knit group of dedicated people who are at the forefront of the green energy transition. You'll have the exciting opportunity to work with large-scale, specialized engineered platforms, and our focus on quality and safety is unmatched"- says Peter Carlsen, Director, Site Operations
Your tasks & responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading the low voltage scope of the project, overseeing time and budget management, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure the project's successful completion.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Working on onshore sites and carrying out LV installation, commissioning and test schemes
- Supervising installation teams
- Interacting with the engineering department in providing support, troubleshooting and solving technical issues onsite
- Planning of day-to-day tasks
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Communicating with subcontractors, clients and stakeholders across the project organisation
Your profile & qualifications
As a person, you enjoy taking responsibility and interacting with stakeholders, while your organized and proactive approach helps you manage multiple tasks at the same time efficiently. You lead by example and foster a collaborative environment where everyone feels supported to do their best work.
Whether you come from a background as an electrician or engineer, what matters most is that you possess a safety-first mindset and share our passion for sustainable solutions.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- A technical educational background, for instance as a Marine Engineer, Service Engineer, Technical Manager Offshore or Electrical/electronic engineer
- Experience with LV systems both installations and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience as an electrician or similar
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
At Semco Maritime, we create change. For people. For projects. And for the global energy sector. With us, you will join a community of over 2,300 of the most dedicated thinkers and doers in the energy industry who are driving real change and making their own personal mark on the global energy landscape.

Because we believe that global energy ambitions can only be realized through hard work and clever pragmatic solutions. This is what we do. This is what we invite you to participate in.
So yes, working for us will change the energy sector - and may well change you too.
