Your Responsibilities
We are seeking a Site Manager (m/f/d) for a converter station in Fedderwarden (Wilhelmshaven), which is currently about halfway through the civil engineering phase and is now moving into the steel and structural work (superstructure) phase.
Key responsibilities include coordinating with the owner's engineers and liaising with the EPC contractors to ensure that safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.
Tasks may include:
- responsible for supporting daily site operations and ensuring smooth communication between the client and the contractor and its site management.
- ensures works are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high-quality standard, while maintaining an existing strong client / contractor relationship.
- Serve as a key member of the team to monitor progress of the work to ensure adherence to the project plans, safety guidelines, and quality requirements.
- Document site activities including daily reports, HSE and Quality observations.
- Communicate site updates, risks and needs to leadership in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Address client concerns professionally and escalates issues when needed.
- Willing to work shifts during extended working hours of the principal contractor for a short duration 2-3 months.
- Support the Land Management and minor projects to remediate lands, and make them safe and secure.
- Arrange travel and accommodation if necessary at the consultants own costs, except where the Client requests travel outside of the above scope of services.
Requirements & Your Expertise
- Previous experience in site coordination, construction supervision / management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage client relationships effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret basic plans, schedules.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills / Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently in an ever-changing work environment.
- Understanding of risk management; Client / CDM knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of construction.
- Experience in reviewing and signing of FQP's / ITPs.
- An understanding of basic engineering principles, Civils and M&E.
