Job Description

Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investment? Then Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you. We are currently looking for Analysts to join our Business Development team at CIP's HQ in Copenhagen.

The Business Development Team is part of the broader Investor Relations & Business Development (IR & BD) team at CIP. The IR & BD team is responsible for all investor‑facing activities and business development, ranging from product and fund design to fundraising, onboarding, and ongoing investor servicing. The team is international and diverse, comprising about 75 professionals from backgrounds such as investment banking, management consulting and law, and is based across nine offices in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia.

The Business Development Team reports to CIP management and is responsible for the development of new investment products and fund strategies, including the structuring of investor commitments. The team expands CIP's commercial reach by identifying opportunities with both existing and prospective investors. Working closely with fund strategy, investment teams, and senior leadership, the team translates market insights, investor needs, and CIP's strategic direction into compelling, scalable investment products.

Role

As an Analyst in the Business Development team, you will be given significant responsibility and the opportunity to learn from the industry experts.

Your key areas of work will include:

  • Conducting qualitative analysis to support preparation of commercial fundraising material, e.g., renewable energy market and trend analyses, competitor strategies and positioning, etc.
  • Developing quantitative Excel models to support structuring of investment products, including analyses of capital structures and cash flow mechanics
  • Supporting creation of material for leadership and investor meetings
  • Selected projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders, e.g., legal, ESG, financial planning, investment teams, etc.
  • Ad hoc handling of various data and process requests

The position is part-time and based in our headquarters in NordØ. The workload will vary depending on the number of projects you are working on, and you will be given the opportunity to shape your daily routine and schedule.

You

We are looking for students in the last semester of Bachelor's or first semester of Master's, ideally studying business, finance, economics or law, but it is not a prerequisite. Key is that you are willing to learn, have an interest in the energy market, private equity and investor space. We value high and positive energy, humbleness and a curious mindset.

Relevant work experience could be from a fund manager, consultancy, law firm (related to M&A or fund formation), private equity firm or banking, or a role in strategy / financing / business development in a corporation.

We look for the following in a candidate

  • An analytical and structured approach to make clear recommendations from research
  • Delivers high-quality output with attention to detail, shows self-motivation and willingness to learn
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment with the ability to work independently and within tight timelines
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to adjust to new ways of working with many different stakeholders
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, and ability to present analysis and solutions to complex problems in a precise manner
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • High academic performance and interest in strategy, financial modelling, project management, and renewable energy

Please note that we do not offer a remote working opportunity, thus you must be a Danish resident or an upcoming student enrolled in a Danish university to be eligible for this role. Students on exchange in Denmark are not considered eligible for this position.

The process

Please apply online as soon as possible as applications will be processed on an ongoing basis. For questions related to the role, please reach out to our Talent Acquisition team at [email protected]. We do not include CV's and Cover Letters sent by email.
