We are looking for a Managing Director for Volue Oy and VP to take full end-to-end accountability for Volue's Asset Operations business, a comprehensive suite of managed services that combines Volue's proprietary software with deep energy market expertise to help energy asset owners and operators maximize the value of their assets, navigate market complexity, and adapt to a rapidly changing energy landscape.

The Asset Operations portfolio spans four core service lines delivered to energy market customers and utilities across Europe: PowerOps-as-a-Service, Market Communication-as-a-Service, Trading-as-a-Service, and Optimization-as-a-Service.

Based in Finland and serving as Managing Director of Volue Oy, this role combines legal entity leadership with full commercial and operational responsibility for a business in active growth. You will lead a 70+ person multidisciplinary team with a clear mandate to expand the managed services footprint, drive product and service innovation, and deliver outstanding customer outcomes in a market undergoing significant change.

What you will do to make a difference

  • Hold full P&L responsibility for Asset Operations, including revenue growth, cost structure, margins, and investment decisions.
  • Act as Managing Director of Volue Oy, carrying legal entity accountability and representing the company in Finland.
  • Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and long-range business plans in alignment with the GM and corporate strategy.
  • Provide direct leadership to multiple teams and managers across service delivery, product management, and operations.
  • Build, develop, and scale the organization in line with growth ambitions and evolving business needs.
  • Act as a role model for leadership behavior, accountability, and Volue's leadership standards.
  • Define and execute the Asset Operations business and product strategy, including product excellence, managed services growth, service portfolio evolution, and geographic expansion.
  • Drive go-to-market execution in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and the CRO, identifying new opportunities in energy markets.
  • Lead cross-functional execution in a matrix environment across Product, GTM, Operations, and Finance.
  • Monitor KPIs across product performance, service delivery, customer satisfaction, adoption, and financial performance.
  • Serve as the key interface between the GM, C-level stakeholders, and cross-functional leaders.
  • Represent Asset Operations internally and externally with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear communication of priorities, performance, and strategic direction across the organization.

What you need to succeed

  • MSc in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience with demonstrated P&L ownership and accountability for business results.
  • Proven track record of leading large multidisciplinary teams of 30+ people in complex matrix organizations.
  • Experience in managed services, energy technology, product management, or data-driven operations, ideally serving energy markets, energy traders, or asset operators.
  • Familiarity with energy markets, asset optimization, or operational technology such as EMS/SCADA, trading systems, and market connectivity is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing legal entities and operating in international or multi-entity environments.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Confident people leader who builds trust, engagement, and high-performing teams.
  • Decisive and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to adapt as the organization evolves.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to translate P&L targets into clear direction.
  • High integrity and professionalism, acting as a role model for Volue's leadership standards.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English.
