Job Description

Do you want to gain hands-on experience in finance while contributing to large-scale offshore wind projects across Europe? As a Working Student Generation Controlling (Offshore Wind), you'll work closely with experienced controllers and help ensure that our wind farms deliver reliable, sustainable energy. At Vattenfall, we believe there is a way - and you can be part of shaping it.

We develop, build and operate our wind farms - onshore and offshore - to accelerate the growth of renewable energy. We combine international expertise with innovation to deliver world-class projects. Every day, we contribute to fossil free living within one generation.

Within BU Offshore, we operate 12 offshore wind farms across Europe with a total capacity of 2.1 GW. At the same time, we are developing and constructing new large-scale wind projects to support the energy transition.

Your role - what you will do

You will support the Generation Controlling team in their daily work and gain valuable insights into financial steering of offshore wind farms. Working in an international team across five countries, you contribute to ensuring transparent reporting and strong financial performance.

  • Support the Business Controller in preparing and analysing monthly results and forecasts for German offshore wind farms
  • Prepare reporting materials for project managers and operational stakeholders

  • Assist with cost accruals as part of month-end processes
  • Work with financial master data, including maintaining and creating new objects
  • Support billing processes for revenues and costs related to offshore wind operations
  • Provide finance support to operational teams in O&M
  • Contribute to ad-hoc analyses and further development of reporting tools

Your profile

You are at the beginning of your professional journey in finance and enjoy working with numbers in an international environment. You bring a structured and careful way of working and like to collaborate with colleagues across different locations.

What we offer

We offer you a flexible and supportive working environment where you can develop both professionally and personally. You will be part of an international team and gain hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic areas of the energy sector.

  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Location: Berlin
  • Contract: initially 12 months with the possibility to extend
  • Working hours: up to 20 hours per week (up to 37 during semester breaks)
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work model (office and home office)
  • A laptop and all necessary work equipment
