This is a climate-tech company developing electrochemical technology that converts industrial CO2 emissions into sustainable chemicals, aiming to displace fossil fuels in chemical production. Their team works across chemical, mechanical, and systems engineering. Having completed their industrial-scale prototype, the company is now moving toward first-of-a-kind plant deployment and commercial roll-out.

The Mission

The company is seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Technician to join its systems team, working on the systems that operate its electrolyzer stacks - assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated test benches. The role involves applying mechanical, electrical, and software skills daily to support the company's test systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems on lab and field units
• Wire, install, and troubleshoot sensors, actuators, electrical panels, valves, and pumps
• Troubleshoot and maintain test benches, including instrumentation and controls
• Test and validate sub-systems through implementation of test protocols
• Implement and tune PID controllers
• Write technical documentation
• Benchmark suppliers and manage vendor contact
• Maintain and improve inventory systems

Abilities and expertise sought

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience
• Some exposure to PLC programming (any major brand; specific platform can be learned on the job)
• Familiarity with electrical panel design and reading wiring diagrams
• Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and basic electronics troubleshooting
• Comfortable using an oscilloscope and basic electronics measurement tools
