If so we would like to invite you to join our Installation Logistics team here at RWE Offshore. As our next T&I Manager you will integrate into, and work as part of, the wider Engineering Department to support global offshore wind projects at all lifecycle stages. You will work every day with an exciting and diverse team who push the boundaries and set the standards for T&I amongst our peers. You will develop, innovate, optimise and then manage the execution of T&I solutions within our offshore wind projects that will ensure we deliver on our promise of a sustainable future.

About the role

  • Support procurement in preparing foundation installation contracts, technical specifications, and vessel charters.
  • Assess and evaluate transport and installation technologies, methodologies, and commercial solutions.
  • Collaborate with foundation, electrical/cable, and turbine package teams to develop optimized transport and installation concepts.
  • Implement approved transport and installation strategies with contractors following contract award and act as Installation Manager/Engineer during project execution.
  • Manage Transport & Installation contracts after Final Investment Decision (FID), ensuring effective contractor performance and delivery.
  • Lead the planning, technical definition, reporting, and execution of foundation transport and installation activities, including marshalling port operations, offshore installation, and handovers, in compliance with HSE and company standards.
  • Review and approve installation documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, lift plans, permits to work, and safety procedures.
  • Manage interfaces with authorities, government bodies, and internal stakeholders while supporting innovation initiatives to advance transport and installation solutions.

Job requirements and experience

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Logistics, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in the development and/or construction of offshore wind farm projects, with expertise in transporting large structures, ideally offshore wind turbine foundations.
  • Proven experience in offshore foundation installation, including monopiles, pin piles, pile driving techniques, and grouting applications.
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering Transport & Installation package management or construction logistics scopes within offshore wind.
  • Experience managing offshore construction contracts and vessel chartering, with an interest in project management and engineering interfaces.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multinational team.
  • Willingness to travel within Japan and internationally, and to work offshore and at heights as required.
  • Fluent in English; Japanese language skills and experience working with Japanese suppliers, authorities, and stakeholders are highly desirable.
