Job Description

The Facilities Custodian is responsible for the safe and productive working conditions at Silfab Solar by maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-maintained workplace. The schedule for this position is Monday and Friday, 10PM - 6:30AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes and stocks paper supplies in restrooms, break room and common areas.
• Sweeps and mops restrooms, break room, common areas, other areas as needed.
• Disposes of trash and recyclables from restrooms, break room, common areas, and production line.
• Outside grounds cleaning.
• Ensure that sanitation and quality standards are being met.
• Working knowledge of cleaning products for effective and safe use
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Skills

• High level of attention to detail to ensure that sanitation & quality standards are being met.
• Working knowledge cleaning products used for cleaning & sanitation.
• Knowledge & use of power tools.
• Minor plumbing & carpentry skills.

Traits

• Ability to follow directions closely.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Able to self-start and work independently.

Education and/or Experience

• Experience as a custodian or janitor in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
• Proficient in facility cleaning, hazardous waste disposal and maintaining compliance with safety.
• Strong experience in performing routine cleaning tasks, including mopping, sweeping, sanitizing and restocking supplies.
• High school diploma or equivalent
