ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) er et uafhængigt certificeringssystem, der fokuserer på at verificere bæredygtighed, sporbarhed og reduktion af kulstof i forsyningskæder. I modsætning til direkte energiproducenter som sol- eller vindkraftværker certificerer ISCC forskellige råvarer, herunder landbrugsbiomasse, skovprodukter, biogene affaldsprodukter og genanvendte kulstofmaterialer. Projekter & Resultater
ISCC udfører ikke selv projekter, men certificerer adskillige initiativer i forsyningskæden. Blandt de bemærkelsesværdige afsluttede certificeringer er den første ISCC-certificering i 2010 samt certificeringen af over 1.000 canadiske landmænd frem til 2022. Andre betydningsfulde certificeringer omfatter produktionen af vedvarende diesel fra en tysk biodieselproducent, der bruger brugt madolie, samt en biodieselbehandlingsanlæg i Sydøstasien (source: iscc-system.org). Aktuelle bestræbelser fokuserer på CORSIA SAF-certificeringer, med 14 CORSIA-certifikater og 138 for HVO (hydrogeneret vegetabilsk olie) indtil de seneste revisioner.
Nuværende udviklinger
I de seneste to år har ISCC introduceret nye produktlogoer og et licenssystem, dannet tekniske udvalg for cirkulær økonomi og bæredygtige flybrændstoffer og opnået anerkendelse for biobrændstoffer i Queensland (Australien). Derudover støtter ISCC overholdelsen af EU's afskovningsforordning (EUDR) med relevante værktøjer (source: iscc-system.org). Der er ikke rapporteret om større opkøb eller fusioner, da ISCC drives gennem en foreningsstruktur, der sikrer kontinuerlig udvikling og anerkendelse fra EU.
Arbejder der
ISCC tilbyder stillinger primært inden for certificering, tekniske standarder, systemovervågning og træning. De primære afdelinger omfatter tekniske udvalg, støtte til akkreditering og gennemgang af drivhusgasberegninger. Ansættelsen sker primært på hovedkontoret i Köln, men internationale auditorpositioner er også mulige, da ISCC opererer i over 130 lande (source: linkedin.com). Job Description
The Integrity Assessor has the objective to verify compliance with ISCC requirements in order to safeguard the consistency, credibility, and integrity of the ISCC certification system.

Your main duties will be
- Conduct of on-site and remote Integrity Assessments and associated travel activities in coordination with the ISCC office in Cologne
- Preparation and coordination of schedules/audit plans for Integrity Assessments
- Conduct of ISCC Integrity Assessments at certified companies and certification bodies (CBs) and witness audits on CB auditors with a regional focus on Europe according to the ISCC standards in diverse markets:
- Covering diverse certification scopes such as points of origin and collecting points for waste and residues (used cooking oil, palm oil mill effluent, brown grease/grease trap fat), farms/plantations, traders, and processing facilities
- Verification of incoming and outgoing traceability documents, mass balances, and other relevant sustainability criteria covered under the ISCC standards
- Special focus might be put on social issues in the context of human rights (e.g. fair and safe working conditions) and the conservation of natural resources/biodiversity
- Compilation of Integrity Assessment Reports
- Contribution to the continuous development of the ISCC System and the ISCC Integrity Programme
Your profile
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in certification or quality management, preferably related to ISCC - Audit experience is mandatory
- Completed university studies or comparable qualification in relevant field (environmental studies, chemistry, bioenergy or similar)
- Independence and free of conflicts of interest (Integrity auditors cannot simultaneously work as auditors for CBs or as consultants for system users who are also stakeholders in ISCC Integrity Assessments)
- Audit experience in the field of traceability, mass balance, social compliance, greenhouse gas emissions and/or land use change
- Experience in the area of waste and residue-based biofuel supply chains and/or supply chains for agricultural feedstocks
- Experience in the chemical industry and in the circular economy are of advantage
- High proficiency in English (advanced). Additional languages are of advantage
- Understanding of global supply chains and complex organisational set-ups
- Understanding of human rights in supply chains and social minimum safeguards according to e.g. ILO, UN Global Compact or German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains or similar human rights acts
- Residing in Europe, with high willingness and availability to travel locally in the region
- Very good organisational and communication skills
- High level of commitment, proficiency and assertiveness
- Structured, accurate and independent working style
- Good knowledge of the standard IT tools (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), including using IT tools to perform remote audits
