Job Description

How would you like to work with a world-class team and help disrupt the energy industry and the way consumers use energy and interact with utility companies?

Eliq is looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development professional to take on a uniquely cross-functional role. You’ll blend the mindset of a consultant with the drive of a commercial lead, researching market opportunities, crafting compelling propositions, and opening new doors with utility partners. From analysis to outreach to boardroom-level presentations, you’ll be central to how we grow and deliver impact.

About the Role

You will combine management consulting expertise, analytical skills, and hands-on sales execution. Your core objective is to identify, test, and deliver new ways of establishing relationships with utility companies across Europe. You will develop and present new propositions that leverage Eliq’s expertise, data, and products, with the ultimate goal of enabling the sales team to generate sales of the product.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who is equally comfortable presenting to C-level utility executives, conducting research and analysis to inform those presentations and reports, and engaging directly with highly targeted, new contacts to open doors.

Most likely, your background is from management or strategy consulting, as a business analyst, or from a commercial role in the energy industry, or from building your own startup, but other backgrounds can still be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute new ways to engage utility companies and build sales pipeline
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform tailored propositions and presentations
  • Deliver presentations and reports to C-level executives
  • Design and run outreach initiatives to generate leads
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine sales strategies

Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to take ownership and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to Gothenburg, Sweden, if currently based elsewhere.
