Renewable Civil CADD Technician I

Job Description

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a CAD Technician I opening to work in our San Jose, Costa Rica office. The CAD Technician supports an assigned group of engineers by providing technical drafting support and creating construction drawings for commercial site and renewable civil designs under close supervision.

What You'll Do

• Apply generative design principles to explore multiple design options and identify optimal solutions.
• Automate repetitive design tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

What We Expect from You

• Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Knowledge of GIS preferably ESRI software is a plus.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• Knowledge in commercial site, solar, and/or wind civil design would be beneficial
• Good organization and communication skills to assure projects are completed on schedule
• Certification or coursework in computational design tools and methodologies.
• Experience in computational design software such as Dynamo for AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript for developing design algorithms is a plus.
• Candidates must have strong attention to detail and work well within a team.
