The team works closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board, leaders across the business and a wide range of external stakeholders, helping ensure the organisation operates effectively and professionally.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work closely with executive and senior leaders, gain insight into a wide range of business activities, and contribute to work that has a direct impact on Transpower and New Zealand's energy future.
Over the next few years you'll play an important role in:
- Managing a complex executive diary, scheduling and managing competing priorities.
- Coordinating meetings, travel, events and leadership activities.
- Supporting the preparation of executive, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and Board papers and reports.
- Building strong relationships across divisions and helping teams work effectively together.
- Proactively identifying issues, resolving administrative challenges and keeping work moving.
- Supporting leaders and teams with business, financial and operational administration.
- Contributing to a collaborative Executive Assistant community that supports one another and shares knowledge.
What Will You Bring?
We're looking for someone who combines exceptional organisation with strong judgement, initiative and professionalism.
Please provide examples of:

- Managing busy schedules, competing priorities and changing demands with confidence.
- Building positive and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Working independently while remaining highly collaborative and service-focused.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Using technology and systems confidently, including Microsoft 365 tools.
- Finding practical solutions and improving ways of working.
What's Advantageous but Not Essential
- Experience supporting executives or senior leaders within large or complex organisations.
- Experience coordinating Board, governance or leadership activities.
- Experience with budgets, purchase orders, invoices or financial administration.
- Experience identifying or implementing process improvements.
- Relevant administration, business or technology qualifications.

Was sie tun
