The Charles Darwin University (CDU) / Power and Water (PWC) / Graduate Electrical Engineer Program is a two year initiative designed to retain high-quality Graduates in the NT through a structured training and development program, providing you with the right tools, challenges, skills and hands-on experience to foster technical expertise and future leadership opportunities.

As a CDU – PWC Graduate Electrical Engineer you will assist in the determination and application of the operational technical envelope for the Northern Territory power systems for the secure, reliable and safe operation as well as the assessment of technical compliance of new and existing system participants to ensure compliance with various Technical Codes. Become a team member at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution, playing a key role in connecting vast renewable sources.

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification, training and/or relevant experience in Engineering recognised for Professional Membership with Engineer Australia.
  • Proven analytical, judgement and problem solving skills, including identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • High level interpersonal and writing skills with proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess and manage priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrated experience in power system analysis techniques and proficient in the use of system performance packages such as Power Factory PSS/E and Sincal will be highly regarded

To be considered for this role you should be a recent Charles Darwin University Electrical Engineering Graduate or due to graduate within the next 6 months.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 5. The base salary will be in the range $72,061 to $83,249 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $84,311 to $97,401 per annum including 17% superannuation.
