We are now looking for a Project Chief Engineer, Mechanical to join our team.

Position information

This position is permanent and the preferred location is Vaasa, Turku, Helsinki Finland.

Main responsibilities

  • Safeguard that mechanical works are executed according to contract specifications and design directives as a member of a project team
  • Make purchase specifications and bill of quantities as required for the project execution
  • Make project specific design and design packages
  • Co-ordinate the design between sub-suppliers
  • Develop Power Plant project wise mechanical solution for the client
  • Carry out sub-supplier quality- and delivery follow-ups
  • Support our site team during installation and commission phases
  • Give feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
  • Participate in development projects

Development responsibilities

  • Participate in developing and maintaining of tools and work methods in own responsibility area
  • To give, collect and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
  • Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area

Requirements

  • BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • Being self-going, having teamwork skills, motivation to learn and grow professionally, and willingness to travel as well as ability to understand and work with diverse cultures.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of mechanical project or process engineering
  • Good command in English
  • Negotiation and communication skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Technical skills in mechanical & process engineering
