Seaway7 has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Engineer - Mechanical to join the team in our Zoetermeer office, a great opportunity to put your specialist knowledge and skills into practice to support our Vessel Superintendents with any issues and interact with Department Engineers and Vessel Crews.

What you will be doing

  • Support the Vessel Superintendents & Equipment group on issues, specialist knowledge (mechanical engineering, hydraulics)
  • Participate in defining and describing company operational standards.
  • Participate in design, engineering, construction and commissioning of new components or equipment
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable rules and standards.
  • Advise on technical modifications to project and vessel crew
  • Manage technical modifications
  • Attend equipment tests at manufacturer premises
  • Budget awareness
  • Support Vessel Superintendents during maintenance & repair or dry dockings on site
  • Good planning, organization & communication skills

What you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor education in a technical subject. Preferably Offshore Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • A few years of solid practical engineering experience required
  • Willing to travel and work outside normal office hours
