Job Description

Seeking a Senior Health & Safety Coordinator to enhance our construction project teams! You'll serve as a vital liaison between our project teams and the corporate Safety & Compliance department. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and continuously reviewing project health & safety principal contractor requirements to align with corporate objectives, drafting and revising necessary plans and procedures
• Regular travel to project sites to oversee and bolster the implementation of project health and safety plans during execution
• Conducting internal audits and aiding external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory, ISO management system certification, and other business requirements, including accreditation to the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner
• Leading incident investigations

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience as a HSE professional working in the construction industry.
• Degree qualification or relevant industry experience in a related field; or an appropriate qualification with relevant construction industry experience.
• ICAM or equivalent lead investigator training
• Knowledge of applicable local laws, codes and regulations particularly relevant to Queensland desirable.
• Effective report and procedure / plan writing and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to form close working relationships.
• Flexibility to travel frequently to projects and at short notice as required.
