Ready for a stimulating career move in design and failure mode analysis? Northvolt is on the hunt for an adept DFMEA Engineer to enhance our Battery Systems team's efficiency and reliability.

You'll be a vital player in our mission to design the world’s most advanced and sustainable batteries and modules. You will work alongside our engineering and product compliance teams to drive the D-FMEA processes, ensuring the safety, robustness, and reliability of our battery systems and modules.

Job Description

  • Conduct and lead D-FMEA sessions, focusing on potential failure modes and their effects on the entire system
  • Work closely with engineering teams to propose mitigations and corrective actions for identified risks
  • Adapt the D-FMEA process to suit various project requirements
  • Guide and train teams in D-FMEA best practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with compliance engineers to align D-FMEA outcomes with regulatory standards
  • Continuously update D-FMEA documentation, ensuring it's up-to-date and in line with both internal and external requirements

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field
  • In-depth understanding of D-FMEA processes. Preferably from Automotive Industry using the AIAG-VDA method or similar
  • At least 5 years’ of relevant experience from automotive industry or similar
  • Flexibility to adjust D-FMEA process based on project or regulatory changes
  • Proficient in business English, both written and oral
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Clear articulation of risks, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate D-FMEA records for compliance and traceability
  • Preferably knowledgeable about battery systems and modules
  • Preferably knowledgeable in APIS IQ FMEA
