Job Description

Ingrid Capacity facilitates the electrification of society and the transition to renewable energy as the leading Nordic actor in building large-scale energy storages. We are in a rapid growth phase with a historic expansion of energy storage in Sweden while also expanding internationally. We expect to continue to grow rapidly in the coming years, by scaling both in new geographies and new technologies of flexible energy assets.

Do you want to join our exciting journey and contribute to the green energy transition? Electrification and the transition to renewable energy create fantastic opportunities – for us as individuals, as a company and for society at large.

About the role

Ingrid Capacity plans to deploy a total of 400 MW in Sweden within the coming 18 months. Construction has started for a total of 90 MW distributed over 6 locations and an additional 120 MW is expected to start construction early 2024. In parallel, we are planning for an international expansion. We are now looking for an experienced Head of Asset Management to set up an organization to manage this portfolio as the projects come into operations. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and profitability of our assets. You will be responsible for defining our asset management strategy, building and leading a team of highly skilled professionals as well as for developing and implementing processes and procedures that ensure safe and efficient operations of our sites.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up the asset management function for all energy storage projects in operation, including building an efficient team.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies, processes and routines to maximize the performance of the portfolio.
  • Responsible for electrical safety at our sites in operations (Swedish: elanläggningsansvarig), including setting up all necessary routines to ensure this.
  • Responsible for following up on quality, requirements and guarantees with all suppliers during operations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including regulatory bodies, local communities and partners.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial and operational reporting for the portfolio as well as manage the dialogue with our co-investors.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor the regulatory landscape and participate in driving the industry’s way of working in operations forward.
  • Together with the Head of Construction, define an efficient handover process from Construction to operations.
  • Work cross-functionally with the internal teams, ensuring knowledge sharing from the operational phase to the rest of the organization.

Your work experience

  • Experience from a similar role within asset management from renewable energy, electrical infrastructure or similar.
  • Strong leadership skills, preferably experience from building and/or leading a team.
  • ESA certification.
  • Fluent language skills in English (required), Swedish is a strong plus.
  • University degree in a relevant area, such as electrical engineering or similar.

In addition to the above, we’re looking for an independent person who is driven to build a high performing team in a high-growth environment. We believe that you enjoy taking responsibility and work both strategically and operationally. Further, we believe that you have strong communication and people skills as you will collaborate closely with internal colleagues as well as external stakeholders and suppliers.

How Ingrid Capacity facilitates the green transition

As our societies become more electrified and switch to climate-smart and renewable energy, both great opportunities and challenges arise. Energy storage is necessary to manage the electrification, and electrification is necessary to manage the climate challenge. Large-scale battery energy storage will be a key part of the energy infrastructure of the future.

Our storages take care of electricity when there is surplus, then tapping it back to the system when there is shortage. Right now, we are laying out a historic expansion of energy storage in Sweden.

At Ingrid Capacity, we are therefore not just employees; we are pioneers, visionaries, and catalysts for change. We are at the forefront of the global energy transition, dedicated to reshaping the future of power generation. Our company is more than a workplace; it is a platform for innovation, where we dare to push boundaries and turn bold ideas into reality.
