Key responsibilities

  • Define and develop new or improved manufacturing processes , specifications and sustainability
  • Design and implement new technologies for specialized equipment and reduction of equipment consumable material usage
  • Translate product requirement elements to manufacturing
  • Define process guidelines to improve technical cleanliness in production'
  • Own and drive development of the Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Build Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction (WI) and Process Defect Description and Reaction Matrix
  • Ensure and apply 5S principles
  • Characterize existing processes, define critical parameters and establish controls to measure process capability and monitoring using SPC
  • Execute Design of Experiments (DOE’s) to optimise the process conditions and improve production Key Process Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Provide production technical support by constant equipment and KPI improvements, by using the S.M.A.R.T. (Specific Measurable Achievable, Relevant and Time-bounded) goals approach
  • Create process validation guidelines and drive process commissioning during: Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) by achieving targeted Machine and Process Capabilities (cm, cmk, cp, cpk, pp, ppk)
  • Perform other tasks

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
  • 3+ years of work experience within new process development in automated manufacturing environments such as: automotive, semiconductors, pharmaceutical, medical devices etc.
  • Experience within one of the following technologies: tightening, adhesives, pressing, leakage testing, laser welding
  • Experience in writing technical documentation (Requirement specifications, Functional design, UML, Test Cases, Test Records)
  • Passionate by solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innovative way
  • Track-record of leading successful process development , implementation and sustainability in production environment
  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment

Specific skills

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma
  • Problem solving tools: 8D or Ishikawa diagram.
  • Familiar with APIS
  • Familiar with CAD 2D/3D Knowledge
