The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering projects at Group14’s pilot plant in Woodinville, WA. The Project Engineer will oversee project management as well as execute detailed engineering design for their assigned projects. The Project Engineer will apply recognized design standards and principles to deliver installations that are fit for purpose and meet the intent set forth by Operations, Maintenance, and Process Engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead engineering projects at the facility, including identifying project requirements with the internal “customer” and developing designs to meet the requirements.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules and budgets, and regularly communicate with stakeholders on the status.
  • Apply safety fundamentals, recognized design standards, and regulatory requirements to designs and installations.
  • Apply recognized practices for phasing of projects to ensure delivery that meets budget and time expectations.
  • Follow the company’s Management of Change process and project execution policies, including project close-out with proper documentation updates.
  • Work with the in-house maintenance team and manage external contractors to execute construction and commissioning phases of assigned projects.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with the R&D team to develop solutions to problems and improving production throughput, cost, product quality and process safety.
  • Support continual development of Group 14’s project management process to help it grow with the company.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
  • Candidate must have 3+ years of experience in industrial environment, and or EPC Contractor.
  • Prior Engineering Project Management Experience.

Other Qualities We’d Love for You to Have

  • Experience with managing projects and budgets greater than $1million.
  • Experience with managing multi-phased projects.
  • Experience in bulk solids handling.
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Program (RMP) covered facilities.
  • Experience with construction and/or fabrication management.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
