As our new Project Manager, EPC Construction, you will play an important role in delivering utility-scale solar (PV) projects in the UK. In due course, we also expect the delivery of energy storage, onshore wind, and Power-to-X projects to form part of the UK portfolio.

Working within the structure of the newly released European Energy Project Management Model (PMM) you will receive projects once they have passed each stage gate (received planning consent, grid/land agreements secured, strategy defined for offtake and financing). You will be responsible and accountable for projects during structuring and construction phases, before handing over asset management. This will include working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and manage the different structuring and construction activities.

You will be responsible for QHSE, risk management, timeline management, cost management, supplier management, contractual management, reporting, and the general compliance of the projects. An important part of this position also entails applying any lesson learned and continuously optimizing, and streamlining our project management processes.

You will see yourself in an environment with many interesting tasks. You have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate with local suppliers, service providers, and communicate with stakeholders such as subcontractors, lenders, off-takers, etc.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and the risk team, to maintain the highest standards of H&S and Quality on the project;
  • Work within the EE PMM structure and help support the rollout and implementation of newly developed procedures and processes;
  • Drive EPC activities and deliverables (Grid, Design, Structural, Electrical, Procurement), chair regular team meetings and ensure minutes and actions are issued;
  • Financial management of projects and approvals of invoices;
  • Work closely with the construction team and conduct site visits before and during construction to monitor construction progress, identify risks, and meet contractors;
  • Ensure compliance with the various permits, land leases, grid connection, finance, off taker and other agreements in line with key performance indicators, performance monitoring systems, output specifications and contractual requirements;
  • Construction, Sponsor, PPA, Off-taker, and SPV Reporting as required by the project agreements (progress, CAPEX, risks, HSE).

Your Profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience;
  • You have a proven track record of project management with experience in grid connected solar projects during the construction phase;
  • You have strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation and have training at NEBOSH or IOSH level;
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • You have a valid UK driving license;
  • You are willing to travel throughout the UK (primarily) and to our head office in Denmark (periodically);
  • You can work remotely & independently and be self-motivated within a supportive & collaborative company;
  • You are a creative problem solver;
  • You have a proactive and diligent approach;
  • You can balance quality in the context of time & cost pressure.
