We are seeking ambitious and enthusiastic individuals to strengthen our team. Your work will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions by conducting in-depth market analysis, formulating strategic hypotheses, and interpreting complex data within the German energy sector. You will provide actionable insights and recommendations that aid utilities, investors, and governmental agencies in transitioning towards a net-zero world. Additionally, you will present your analytical findings and strategic guidance during various meetings and client/public workshops.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform complex analyses with a strong focus on numerical data. Candidates should excel in both quantitative and qualitative assessments and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Communicate findings directly to clients, transforming complex analyses into actionable insights through convincing presentations;
  • Utilise our fundamental market model, BID3, to contribute to the setup of AFRY standard market reports and scenarios, deriving quantitative insights to aid our clients;
  • Collaborate effectively within project teams and the wider office environment. Strong communication skills are essential to ensure seamless teamwork;
  • Operate effectively within a commercial environment, managing both budgets and tight deadlines. Self-motivation, proactivity, and a business-oriented mindset are crucial;
  • Contribute to a dynamic team of consultants who address challenging strategic and operational issues at the management level, often crossing national borders to devise solutions for the energy sector's transformation.

Your profile

  • You have an excellent academic degree with an economic, technical or MINT focus;
  • If you have an understanding of European energy market dynamics and energy policy this is a definite benefit;
  • You thrive on complex analyses, quantitative and qualitative, and the handling of data;
  • You work thoroughly, have an eye for details and master MS Office, especially Excel, excellent;
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to convey complex information in a clear and logical way;
  • You have a very good (C1/C2 level) command in English and German language.
