Senior Solar and Wind Project Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar and Wind Project Manager to lead and oversee photovoltaic (PV) and Wind projects in Romania, managing all phases of the project lifecycle from site establishment to final completion.

• Project Oversight: Monitor and control construction activities across the portfolio, ensuring adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and timelines from development through to closure.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary interface between EPC contractors, project sponsors, landlords, and utility providers to secure network connections and regulatory compliance.
• Financial & Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, cash flow, and engineering revisions while coordinating logistics for company-supplied materials.
• Planning & Risk Mitigation: Develop comprehensive project timelines, identify critical paths, and proactively implement corrective actions to minimise disruptions.
• Reporting & Compliance: Manage permitting and interconnection processes with local authorities and provide regular strategic updates to the Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related Engineering fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, specifically in the solar and Wind or renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale solar projects from start to finish
• Proven track record of managing the construction of a wind project
• Electrical Licensing strongly preferred related to the Solar/Wind and HV substations;
• Strong understanding of solar and Wind energy technologies, financing, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code, solar/Wind permitting, and other PV system regulatory codes.
• Fluent English
• Self-disciplined and result-oriented, with excellent presentation skills
• Flexibility to travel to project sites in various locations whenever necessary
