ConnectDER

Descripción de la Empresa

ConnectDER

Filadelfia, PA, Estados Unidos

2011

The Field Applications Engineer is a key technical expert responsible for helping customers successfully deploy and use ConnectDER's MSA products. In this role, you'll work closely with installers, partners, and AHJs to troubleshoot issues, provide hands-on and remote support, and ensure installations run smoothly.

We are transforming solar adoption by focusing on a critical part of the installation process, making it faster, simpler, and more scalable. You'll be on the front lines of this innovation, supporting cutting-edge solar technology and helping installers navigate real-world challenges as the industry grows.

If you enjoy solving technical problems and working directly with customers to bring clean energy technology into the field, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact.

Duties include:

  • Customer Support & Resolution: Serve as second-tier technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex customer inquiries promptly via multiple channels (phone, email, chat, ticket system), and providing detailed reporting such as root cause analysis.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Technical Consulting: Support and engage a wide range of external stakeholders (solar installers, utilities, inspectors, etc.) by translating complex technical issues into actions and strategic product recommendations.
  • Field Operations & Compliance: Perform in-person field support as needed, evaluate requirements for field wiring and product compatibility, and maintain expertise in utility technical requirements (e.g., service and interconnection rules) to advocate the company's position.
  • Product & Process Improvement: Collaborate cross-functionally to relay customer concerns and feedback, recommending process improvements and best practices to enhance overall product quality and user experience.
  • Training & Education: Deliver technical training sessions (virtual and in-person) for installers, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • On-Call Availability: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support customers.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Location & Travel

This is a full-time remote position requiring up to 75% travel, mostly within the local region. Occasional travel to Philadelphia, PA is required.

Location Preference: Candidates based in the San Francisco Bay area are strongly preferred, with close proximity to a major airport to support travel requirements.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm PT.

Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.
