We are looking for a Equipment Engineer to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Equipment Engineering Senior Manager and be based in Newark DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role working night shift hours.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support equipment across various manufacturing lines, with differing levels of complexity
• Skilled in diagnosing and fixing manufacturing equipment
• Automated Equipment
  • Provide support for equipment through PLC and HMI programming, encompassing motion and servo control systems
  • Ability to modify existing control logic to improve safety, performance or throughput
  • Participate in commissioning of new automated equipment and ensure all devices function as designed
  • Installation, commissioning and support of vision systems for tracking and quality inspections
• Conduct engineering tasks in mechanical, electrical, and structural systems for testing, material handling, welding, and machining equipment
• Oversee equipment installation as well as start-up and implementation projects
• Develop equipment specifications and documents for the manufacturing assembly, testing and material handling processes
• Oversee project timelines, financial planning, and prepare comprehensive status reports for leadership
• Provide leadership to night shift engineering technicians
• Work with vendors, facility engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams to manage project implementation
• Find ways to boost safety, cut costs, enhance efficiency, and raise quality
• Prepare or approve system as-built drawings
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including off shifts and weekends, as required by business needs

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Manufacturing or Equipment Engineer with 5-7 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Functional knowledge of PLC's, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, industrial control panels, electronic sensors, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Equipment requirement development and specification writing
• Knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards
• Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks and MS Office suite
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 25-50 lbs
• Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift
• Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials
• Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff
• Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots)

Salary Ranges

$95,100.00 - $136,900.00
